Welcome to “Miss Vicki's" Preschool Class

Welcome to our Preschool website. I will give you some information that will be helpful to you in knowing what to expect from our class.

Our staff consists of me, Miss Vicki, and several aides who thoroughly enjoy being with your children. This year they are Miss Elaine, Miss Diane, Miss Sue, and Miss Joanne. Miss Elaine plays the piano for us daily while we sing along! I feel that when the children are comfortable with the staff, the routines, and the room, they are freed up to learn and grow.

Our curriculum spans the gamut of the developing preschooler and the various special needs of our children. We have a mix of activities going on at any given time so we can meet these needs in creative ways. Therapies include Occupational, Physical, Speech and Language, and ABA for those who require them.

Other special things that happen are:

“Specials” - classes provided by specialist teachers. The Specials we have are Library, and Physical Education. (Music is provided through our classroom staff.)

Assemblies – we go to those assemblies that apply to our group

Birthdays – please send in something like cupcakes that we can use to celebrate your child’s birthday. This year we have to cut down on sweets and sugar but we can still have cupcakes for birthday celebrations!
Field Trips- We will schedule a several field trips throughout the year with Miss Denise's class.

I will be making an attempt to put information regarding our weekly themes and activities/projects on this site so that you can know what to talk to your children about. This is my first try at this so it may be a little bumpy. I will start by putting it on the calendar. Click on "calendar" to the left and see how it's going.
